Harder to find these days. Better than a lot of light beers that are out there. I’d take it over Bud Light or Miller Lite any day. It actually has some TASTE for a light beer...and okay taste at that. Too bad Heilemann ended up going under...Miller seems to have no interest in even selling this beer unless they have to.

Bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a light clear golden with a small head. Aroma of corn and sweetness. Taste of the same. This light bodied brew is just another light calorie pale lager. Better than expected.

Can from discount bin. Just thin watery malt and corn soda, higher abv than most light beers.

Poured a light gold with a small head and lace. Not much aroma. What’s there is mainly corn/grains and malt. Taste was similar with corn/grain adjunts predominating at the start and a mild hop finishes it off. Palate was a bit thin. Overall, a typical macro-light that is similar to other Pabst ’lights’ that are brewed in Milwaukee by Miller.

Sampled at friend’s party and not much different than the full strength Special Export. Pours a light golden pale blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a film and white ring. Aroma of light corn grits, citrus hops and a touch of green vegetables. Taste is light bodied, well carbonated with a popcorn malt flavor with a slight bitter character. Finish is crisp clean cut and no aftertaste. A very watered down lager. Remember to serve this at about 35F degrees or colder.

Served in a green bottle. Skunky-flavored beer originally from LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Staple of my college and early post-college days. Golden, small head, skunky beer smell that let you know it was there. Quite quaffable, actually. Watered-down version of the original.

I keep trying to get my friends to drink better beer but they like the cheapness of this one. Tastes of water and butt.

I couldn’t agree more with antisnobJP. This is one of those beers (Point Special is another) that people bitch about as they guzzle can after can on a hot day.

16 oz can. pours a pale yellow with a quickly disappearing head, not a lot of carbonation. definitely a corn flavor to this beer. watery with a hint of a bite to it. i think it tastes better than its fuller brother.

Can. Comes in a 12 oz. can, by the way, but only availiable in a 30 pk. Wow, less than 12 bucks a 30 pk. I remember when Green Death was a quality beer. Never tried the light version, but it 99 degrees and I was trying to avoid beer with flavor. A little corny and slightly metallic, but other than that very little offensive flavors( or any flavors) when served out of an ice filled cooler. People kept telling me it wasn’t very good as they continued to empty the cooler. When the temp goes up, the cost of beer goes down. Mission accomplished.
