2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 FunkyBrewster (1385) - Chicago, USA - JUN 15, 2009
16 oz can. Pours a clean straw color with a decent white frothy head. Aroma is light and crispy malt, some mild grassy hops and a bit of apple and corn. Flavor starts with a grainy malt character that leads into a quick sharp bitter apple bite. Gets a little bit of crisp honey fruit before a soft bitter finish. Light bodied and very fizzy carbonation. By no means a good beer but better than a lot of the other pale lagers.

Yep, I have had this one. From a can luckily. It is pretty bad but maybe slightly better than your average aal.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Atom (689) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 3, 2012
16oz can pours a pale golden with a large white head. Aroma is faint grains, malt, and hops. Taste similar to aroma, sweet, light and crisp. Might be one of the first beers I remember my Dad letting me sip off as a kid. Simple clean beer for drinking lots of.

Bottle at La Fonda in Eagan, MN. Light yellow gold pour with decent white lacing. Aroma and taste of grain and very slight malt. A bit skunky.

Bottle. Poured clear dark amber color with an average white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate balanced malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Not as good as the original GHB version.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ronaldtheriot (449) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - AUG 4, 2011
Heileman’s Special Export has a very thick, white head and a clear, golden appearance, with lots of bubbles streaming up and some minimal lacing. The aroma is faint, but a stereotypical American beer smell can be picked up. Taste is fuller, richer, and sharper than the average American-style lager, and one gets grain, sweetness, and a relatively high hop bite here. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Heileman’s Special Export finishes crisp, clean, dry, and refreshing. Overall, I really like this one and recommend trying it if you ever see it.

More hop aroma and taste than most macro-brews. Pale gold color with modest head. Green bottle does seem to lead to skunking.

Member of the lower caste in beer society, and though I struggled, I drank it.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 dekester1 (211) - Neenah, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 20, 2010
Poured a pale gold with a mild head that faded to fine lace quickly. Aroma was of grains and corn with a slight sweet hint. Taste was of malt, grains, corn and a mild - moderate hop finish. Palate was typical of industrial macro-brews - not bad, just typical. Overall, this was nothing spectacular but not bad either. Not suprisingly, it seemed very similar to Old Style.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 envane (524) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 7, 2010
Clear yellow, foamy white head. Dusty aroma. Sweet corn and metallic finish. One of the better macros.
