jcos (1664) - Maryland, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Location/Date:Bottle on October 27th, 2012.

Appearance: Pours a clear see through gold, with some bubbles.
Aroma: Aroma of cereal malt.
Taste: Very faint bitterness, cereal malt, not as stale as expected.
Palate:Light body, quick finish.

Summary: First off, this is Style Rating 72 of 73 for me - only Lambic Faro to go! I find it kind of ironic that Heineken sells their nearly non-alcoholic beer in a brown bottle that protects light, and their main beer in a green bottle that basically skunks an already poor product. But hey, I’m not in marketing! Similar to my experience with malt liquor, I expected worse than this. Yes it still has a low rating, but maybe a bad IPA is worse than this because with an IPA I have higher expectations.

Pours golden yellow with little to no head. Aroma is low: peach jam and honey. Watery, sweetish, fizzy, bitter finish.

500 ml can. Medium golden colour, short-life small off-white head, slight bread aroma, light body, soft carbonation, sweet corn taste, floury and chewy bitter palate. Not the best

12 oz bottle poured. Tick chasing at its finest. Could be worse, i was actually somewhat intrigued by this bottle. Pours like apple juice. Short grain aroma. Flavor consistent with a regular Heineken, which suprised me a bit. Mostly grainy with a hint of apple. All things considered, this could have been much worse. Not calling this a good beer, but for what it is, not that bad.

Ressenti malt léger, alcool très léger (sic ^^ :D ), des arômes qui tournent à la bière soda en bouche, arrière bouche plutôt aqueuse. Sans intérêt évidemment.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a slight grain and malt smell, not very big. Appearance- Resembles Heineken, the best looking of Low Alcohol beers that I have seen. Taste- Once again resembles Heineken but with a more watered down feel. Palate- A light bodied beer with mild carbonation, has a crisp finish. Overall- The best Low Alcohol Beer I have had.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2015 Couleur dorée, bonne mousse blanche qui disparait. Nez malté d’orge pas trop naturel. Puis vraiment rien...... si ce n’est un debut de semblant malté très rapide. Corps très aqueux

12oz bottle, thanks to Chudwick. Probably from Party Source, there’s a $1.49 sticker slapped on the back that is very much their style. Code on the back seems to read 3301528S2331. Poured into an over-sized tulip. Geez, up front this again has that same exact incredibly strong burnt popcorn aroma, just like the Beck’s NA I had recently. Wtf. In the flavor, more of that, a little rough spiciness, and watery bread. Lots of sweet yellow corn, and a mild sourness. Moderate sweet taste, rough spicy bite, kind of acidic. Clear golden yellow color. Little bubbly white head. No lace sticks. No more than a few sips for me, no thank you. I regret asking for these NAs.
