Sweet and clean. Hops only kick in towards the end. Decent macrobrew.

Metallic nose from the bottle and glass. Slight malted chocolate aroma. Clean lager front. Change of malted flavors midway. Finish ended slightly sweet throughout. Easy to drink, light session brew.

Not great, but better than Beck’s Dark. Not much else to be said, really. Still weak for a dark beer, but at least some of the roasted flavor comes through. I’m surprised I liked it, considering how much I dislike regular Heineken.

blah. Just.....blah. I emailed heineken asking them who stole the good flavors out of their beer. Well, not really, but someone should. someone should also slap the crack pipe out of whoever’s idea this was. Mediocre at best.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2004 When I was younger, so much younger than today,I thought this beer was perfect in every way. Now that times gone by my taste is much matured, It's weak and thin and tastes of soggy cardboard. Help me if you can in getting this down, Half a glass left, I don't want it around. Help me if you can in getting this down, I'd feel really bad pouring it on the ground

You can’t drink too many - it’s frutiy and cloying and gets obnoxious after a while - but it’s ok if you’re on the road in an obscure place and a bottle of this seems the best you can do.

a little better then than lager, but thin for a dark beer

Should only be considered dark if you consider Red Dog a dark beer. Taken for what it’s worth though, this is a pretty good smooth beer from the European Anhauser-Busch.

Heineken has always been a great beer. In my opinion, it’s equivalent it not better than Guiness.
