Very light milk chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Weak and watery. Well-balanced, but so is club soda. Light-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, watery finish. muzzlehatch (4425), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jan 5, 2004 Two weeks ago I was drining the glory that is Girardin...now I am reduced to this. Sigh, Vermont distribution. Soon I won't even have bad macros left. This was bottled, as if you care or it could possibly matter. Pours dark reddish-brown, medium limp head. Nose is soapy. That's all I get. Detergent. Flavor lightly bitter & biscuity (burnt old Pillsbury, not your mama's fresh-from-scratch), corn-syrupy, and again with the soap. No much finish. Horrible. Cornfield (4255), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Feb 4, 2005 Surprised to see only 14 ratings here, so I checked out Heineken’s website to see what their excuse for this dribble was. Wouldn’t you know it, a company this large can’t keep its site working properly. It pours a headless reddish brown and has a LIGHT roasted malt aroma with hints of caramel sweetness. There’s really not much body or taste to comment on, honestly, but it does have a nasty, rusty finish. If they’re not going to fix their website, they should use all of their money to produce a decent beer for a change. acrdz (4248), Pennsylvania, USA Apr 26, 2006 Medium brown color, a bit of redish hued light at the bottom of the glass, and a toast colored small head on top. Requisite malts are present, sugar and maple scented as they are. A mild mold note that almost comes across as grass, but alas there don’t seem to be any hops in the scent. Mostly fizzy, medium chewy thickness, flavors mostly absent until the back of the tongue and finish, which have the staleness of cardboard and twigs, with a light touch of maple and brown sugar thrown in for good measure. Some alcohol-like flavors in the back, though they are most likely fuesal notes I’m getting. This one gets a drawn out "meeeeehhhhh".
