BREWMUSKCLES (742), WEEHAWKEN, New Jersey, USA Mar 20, 2008 there is some flavor here....light caramel mostly added to the regular heinie type profile of beer. decent yet still semi bullshit sweetness. decent maltiness for a macro that is light roasty hay (green hay at that). probably would not had rated this well if a micro. not bad, not good. i do like that holland small but busy carbonation. watery raisin infusion (drip of raisin flavored sweet liquid delivered from a carton) taste. eeehhh
GangGreen712 (39), Woodstock Valley, Connecticut, USA Aug 6, 2008 A bit watery, little aroma, but the flavor is pretty good. Granted, I’d rather go with a Hofbrau Dunkel or something of the like, but overall, for the price, this is not bad, especially for a Heineken. Beerman6686 (628), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poured a dark reddish color with a white head. Aroma was very subdued but was mainly malty and some caramel. Flavor was over the tops sweetness with not enough balance of hops. Juancho (183), New York, New York, USA Jul 21, 2008 What exactly is an American Dark Lager ? Light in taste, body, aroma, flavor. Looks better than a regular Heineken, tastes just as bad. Those guys have at least on thing going for them: consistency. xShanex (18), Mansfield, Texas, USA Jul 16, 2008 From the bottle, pours medium dark with red undertones. Small carmel head that was gone quickly. Flavor is somewhat sweet with hints of raisins. I agree with cooldave. Finishes with a hint of fig. Drinkable. Have Another? Why not. oberabcbbsok (650), Hoboken, Belgium Jul 10, 2008 Tasted from draft in Japan in the Hardrock caffee at Yokohama. Nothing speciall and not much taste
