2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle: Poured a dark black in color with foamy brown head. Sour spicy aroma filled my nose. The taste sweet tooth aching candy malt.

1.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
What absolute crap. Sickly sweet, cloying, no beer character at all. I had no idea it was a low ABV when I ordered and I honestly thought it would be a porter of some sorts. EEEKKK!

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
(Bottled) Very dark brown with a beige, lemonadey head. Sourish, roasted-malty aroma with a starchy-syrupy feel - much like a Finnish kotikalja, except with less yeast. Very sugary-syrupy-sweet, mildly tart flavor with sweet maltiness. Light to medium-bodied, cloying-sweet, syrupy palate with lemonadey carbonation. A quite undrinkable brew, and a perfect way to begin your Xmas eve with ;)

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle at home. Can you call this beer? It tastes more like a coca cola mix drink with low alcohol. Very dark color, much darker than I expected. You can drink it just like a soda but the taste is bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
never had a old brown before??? careful, its a trip...i think stranger than a flemish sour!! this was dark red..sweet ass malt smell...super sweet kick in the mouth 1st sip...really malty and really thick for a beer...honey molasses toffee malt flavours...a seriously underated style, and i can see why and why alot of people wouldn’t like it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Small offwhite coarse head quickly dissolves into nothing. Opaque black body. Faint, sweetish licorice aroma. Sweet, watery, grainy taste with licorice and straw notes, but no balancing bitterness. Clean, but noring, with a kind of flat, empty taste. Could be a reasonable Oud Bruin for all I know. (0.33l bottle.)

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Rotterdam - Pours light brown with a tan foamy head. Aroma is cardboard, stale malts, and bread. Taste is sweet, sticky, candy-like, a bit cloying and medicinal. Mouthfeel is thin bodied and watery with light carbonation. Not good.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. This is the closest foreign beer to danish hvidtøl. Not as good as the best danish versions, but it is alright. Creamy lightbrown fair mostly deminishing head. Dark redbrown colour. Week malty burnt aroma. OK sweet (heavy) flavor. Short finish. Very watery palate.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at home. Sugar water. A bit of caramel flavour. Ice tea, really, with a bit of alcohol thrown in. Avoid.
