1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. This is the closest foreign beer to danish hvidtøl. Not as good as the best danish versions, but it is alright. Creamy lightbrown fair mostly deminishing head. Dark redbrown colour. Week malty burnt aroma. OK sweet (heavy) flavor. Short finish. Very watery palate.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at home. Sugar water. A bit of caramel flavour. Ice tea, really, with a bit of alcohol thrown in. Avoid.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottled. A very dark brown flat looking beer with no head. Thea roma is pretty much non-existant, and the taste is like sugared water. Caramel notes dominate. Little quality and little to enjoy. Not refreshing in any way.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Black, brown brew. Too much sugar. Way too sweet. Tastes like non-cold cola without bubbles :)
Don’t like it.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2006 Happy happy joy joy. The beer, unfortunately drank from bottle (shame on me) has a big bouquet of flawors, ranging from Dumle to tar sauna. Beat that if you can. Long aftertaste which may be intidimatingly sweet.

Dark color (caramel) very thin head, the first thing in the aroma is cola to me!, very thin, it is many years an old tradition fore "on age lady’s) and my grandmother used to drink thise always , finely i had the guts to rate it.
I understand that the low alcohol and the sweed taste did a special thing that time,..but now its done.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer has a dark brown body - hue apperance and a fine light brown scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a lot of carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is sweet with a sweet afther tast.

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Sweetish, malty, dark. Too sweet, cola feeling, light bodied, weak. One try is enough.

An oud bruin, eh? And I thougt "Oud" was a protected term in the EU ... guess not -- or guess someone should be suing Heineken! Although this isn’t the worst beer in Heineken’s quiver, it certainly has nothing, other than the color, that approaches what one would think of for an "oud" style beer. Way too smooth. Hugh bubbles producing a fizzy head that dissipates to nothing almost immediately. Sour? I think not! A malty aroma definitely with a bit o’ dms, perhaps, but nothing approaching lactic or acetic sourness! Watery. No body to speak of. A metallic aftertaste. In the end, definitely less than the sum of its parts.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Dark amber brown colour; fizzy but small, quickly dissipating head. Sour, malty aroma. Sweet and watery flavour. Not too bad; I’d actually rather have this than a "normal" Heineken.
