1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
300ml bottle poured in a chalice.
A: Looks like beer. A dark amber to brown color and a medium to big tan bubbled head when poured. Minimal retention. The head completely disappears after some seconds leaving no lacings at all
S: Sweet. Roasted malts
T: Very sweet. Disgusting, really. Some roasted malts but basically a terrible taste of brown sugar. No hops, no bitterness. By the way, this is not a Flanders Oud Bruin
M: Sweet and watery. Very light body and almost zero carbonation. Aftertaste is a disgusting and artificial taste of syrup
O: Absolutely terrible. One of the worst (if not THE worst) "beer" I’ve ever had. A complete waste of time and money. My advise: Don’t try it!

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 3/20
0.33L bottle. Pours black with a frothy, tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas are mild, with hints of molasses, iron, butterscotch and some chocolate. Flavor is very sweet (though not cloying), with lots of sweet malt and not much else. Medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Overall, this style of beer isn’t my favorite. Really unidimensional in emphasizing malt sweetness. Still, this has a decent enough mouthfeel at least.

0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
roasty, black, brown, minimal head, heavy cloying sweetness, flat,
If you try this you may ask yourself, "is this a beer?" This is the kind of products which I bet is another marketing move to appeal to a generation of sugar addicts. Honestly if you close you eyes and think you’re drinking a soda, you can fool yourself.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Typical, albeit industrial and exagerratedly sweetened example of Nederlands oud bruin, not to be confused with the Flemish sour ales also referred to as ’oud bruin’. Simple, thin, caramel and candi sweetness, almost candy-like.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours a still dark brown colour.
Cherry/malty aroma, overly sweet taste, almost like added suger.

30cl flesje. Donker bruin. Witte schuimkraag. Eerste smaakimpressie : bah! Zoet!!! Meer frisdrank dan bier.

1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
30 cl bottle. Translucent reddish brown color. Small beige head dissipates quickly. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Sugary sweet caramel flavor, more like soda pop than beer. Picked this up in Aruba; I wished I had not.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours clear dark ruby with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and yeast. Sweet flavour of caramel and malt, with notes of yeast and mild hoppy touches. Sweetish aftertaste. Mild, drinkable and sweet, so good for a teddy bear, but definitely not my favourite beer. Still, an okay Low Alc.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
33 cL bottle at home. Pours clear dark brown with a small to medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet with some sugar and malts. Taste is also quite sweet with some sugar and malts. Bit like coke. Medium body and soft carbo. Way too sweet.
