Brewed in the same high quality tradition as the original Heineken, but lighter in taste and with fewer calories and carbohydrates.

Being introduced in four select US markets beginning in June 2005: Phoenix, Arizona; Dallas, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and Providence, Rhode Island.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2006 Had this one bottled in DeKalb, Illinois. This wasn’t terrible, especially for Heineken. Light, crisp and fairly flavorful with a nice balance of hops and grains, nose of sour apples and yeast. There is no good light beer and Heineken hasn’t found it yet but this isn’t as bad as the percentile indicates. Bottled in Attica, Indiana. Very lightly flavorful. Not terrible, but once again, why bother?

A fairly crappy beer. I don’t really know why you would drink it when you could have a real heineken.... who knows?

I was not too fond of this beer. The smell was of rotten yeast, it was very very pungent, which also ruined the flavor. Why does Heineken always come slightly skunked? This beer was forgettable and nothing special even if it did taste decent.

Bottle. Sour old cheese aroma. Light golden yellow with small head. Moderate barley malt flavor - no bitterness - light body. Would have rated it higher if the smell hadn’t put me off - really tastes better than most light beers.

nice golden color small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was nothing special, still smells cheap and uninteresting. The flavor was cheaper then the regular heinie,it tastes more like the saved a few bucks on ingredients and lightened up the original and marketed it at the same price.Pretty weak brew but all in all it would do on a hot summer day.

Straw-colored. Virtually no flavor. No skunk. Not much like Heineken b/c no bitterness whatsoever. Quite watery and drinkable.

Pours a light golden yellow color. Aromas of a little skunk(think Heineken Jr), tiny hints of cheerios and grass. Flavor is a watered down version of its big brother, with none of the taste. This beer is like flavored water.

Pours a pale golden color, light but retentive white head. The nose is classic heineken, full of aromatic adjunct and skunk. The flavor is dry and flat, metallic and thin. No body or aftertaste. I pity the fool who drinks this.

Typical Heineken skunkiness, but thinned down. Watery texture and flavors seem way to timid and weak. The perfect beer for those people who don’t really like beer on those occasions when they would really rather not drink a beer.

This was not a bad beer, but way overpriced for what you are getting. A little skunked but around here, I think people think that is part of the "import" flavor. Kinda wierd if you ask me. I would drink this again if it were on special in a bar, but doubt I would buy a case.
