"the age old question...is lite skunk better than regular skunk? both this and regular Heini suck...this one may be a touch more palatable flavorwise but the mf is water."

Heineken Light equals Heineken Light in Alcohol. It doesn’t even have that nice Heineken flavor to rectify drinking it.

Bottle at porch nite thanks to Jeff pours a pale yellow with slight white head. Aroma is corn and flavor follows. Regular macro pale lager. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- had a distinct skunky smell with a hint of hops, already a major turn-off for me. Appearance- yelowish colored with slight carbonated bubbles with a small white head that did not linger. Taste- Pure skunk mixed with a very watery slight bitterness. terrible bordering on bland. Palate- a medium feel with very little zip and very forgettable Overall- A true disappointment. I have had Heineken’s in several continents and I have been pleased, this light beer variant was god-awful

I was oddly excited to find out I’ve yet to rate this green bottled garbage, call me a masochist. It is indeed pretty much garbage but not completely w/o redeeming qualities. It is golden, perfectly clear and utterly headless. It has a skunky aroma but a pleasant citrus not lingers around the edges, which was somewhat surprising. Once tasted, it is fairly bland but w/o much in the way of off-notes or anything. It is light bodied w/ crisp and very vigorous carbonation, making for a very drinkable beer. Finishes completely clean w/ some lingering sweetness and bitterness. Honesty, this is not as good as the best American beer of the same style but is really not all bad and I’d probably buy this from time to time if it was the same price as High Life or whatever.

12 oz can. Pour is light amber; excellent clarity; Good head and decent lacing; coarse carbonation. Aroma: light sweet malts and spicy hops in good balance. Flavor: very mild, with only a faint hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Feel: very light bodied but about as expected given the style and carbonation level. O: light ... very light, but not otherwise flawed and not bad with a meal. Note, bottled Heineken in the US is oftem spoiled so can are recommended. 12 oz can. Truthfully, this beer I had awhile back but fits right in with the best/worst? Of these Brazilian lagers. A regular Heineken however is a huge step up usually.

Ttransfer from BA review on 6-2-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Poured a light straw color with a large white head. The head faded fast to give a very light amount of lacing. Smell - In classic Heineken style you get a mild skunk aroma mixed with light malt flavors. Taste – It starts out with a weaker drier malt taste. The taste doesn’t transition much, but sweetens ever so lightly in the middle, only to dry out again more toward the end. At the very end some of the skunkiness in the nose comes to the taste as well, leaving that odd taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel- It s very light in body with a high level of carbonation. Overall – It is very much a “watered-down” version of Heineken. Nothing too spectacular.
