sredniej jakosci piwo z mnostwem karmelowej slodyczy troche wanilli i nawet piana spora. Kolo brazowy ale niezbyt gesty, przepuszcza swiatlo i to mocno. Finisz niestety krotki, brak owocowosci i troche wytrawnosci dla kontrastu bo nieco zbyt karmelowe mi sie wydawalo.

Vielen Dank an Kölschtrinker! Test vom 6.2.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,11,8,12,8 - 9,20

Bottled: unk look is standard with some initial foam over an Amber beer, etched surface. Nose Carries, cherry and toasted brown sugar along with some decent Bock malts. Taste is vanilla, sweet, wheat and fruity. A little thin bodied with hi carb. Drinkable. Serving type: bottle 06-23-2012

30cl bottle @ home. Clear, reddish-brown color, beige head. Aroma caramel, sweet fruits like dates, bit wine-ish, coffee and cola notes. Taste heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour notes. Full body, sticky texture, lively carbon, medium lasting sweet bitterish finish. Not very exciting and a way too sweet for me, but drinkable.

Bottle. Clear orange pour. nice off white head. Aroma is fruity, lots of caramel notes, none of the traditional roastiness. Taste is sweet, really caramel forward, pear, malty, long lingering very sweet finish bleh. Palate is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Aroma is okay, taste kind of ruins this one.

Just a nice easy drinkable bok. Has all the nice bok flavors in the right balance without over complicating it. It’s not as strong as most other boks. But i enjoy the lightness.

Thin, watery taste. What makes this bok better than some of its opponents is that the sweet taste in it actually is definable as caramel, and not plain sugar.

Pre Borefts supermarket bench tasting (why open so late guys ?), Bodegraven NL, from that there supermarket in Bodegraven 28/09/13. Clear dark amber with a thinnish light beige head. Nose is bready malts, cardboard, suggestion of dark dried fruits, dates, raisens. Taste comprises sugars, toffee, dates, dark fruit notes. Medium bodied, slightly over carbed, sweet finish. Sub par but drinkable as opposed to full on Meh !

Pours a brown amber beer with a not very long lasting head. Smells malts, caramel and sweet. Very unbalanced beer. Tastes like a pilsner where they add some more malts. Tastes caramel, malts. Too sweet. Low to average carbo, thin body and a sticky texture.
