Medium brownish red witha fizzy, quick disappearing, white, non lacy head. Smells of malt but in an extract sort of way. Sort of like marmite. Some caramel and roast. Synthetic. Medium oily body, with soft carbonation. Tastes of processed malt and chemical burn. Plastic and sort of rubber. Caramel sweetness all. Don’t really like it very much at all.

Bottle shared with McTapps. If you do not like Bockbier it is always a bit tough to drink one. But this appears to be more refreshing and light than others. Nose of mal, taste of malt, sugar and alcohol. Due to the higher carbo still drinkable.

Dark amber in colour with steady head. Nose of malt and caramel. Taste of rich malt, brown bread, low yeast, roasted nuts and burnt caramel. Nice one.

A bit of a rhye bread flavour, in spite of the wheat on the title. Watery, far from full-bodied, not a nice bock...

Bottle from Albert Heijn. Poured a rich golden brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is a very pleasant roasted malt. The flavour is medium sweet malty caramel with some liquorice in the aftertaste. Some boks are way too sweet, but this one just about hits the mark for me,

Clear ruby color with off-white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is caramel and toffee. Taste is bit too sweet, tones of wheat, bit spicy. Short sweet aftertaste. (Velp 201211)
