You mean, I canít go lower than 1? You would think it would be illegal to vomit in a bottle and sell it to the general public. Europeans are strange people.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2005 Decent lager. Golden, medium-bodied, too much on the watery side though. Bit of a bitter finish. Good with pizza.

Oh yeah, a real classic. You know itís a great beer when somebody names a type of body odor after it (Heineken pits.) The proud display of the word IMPORTED on the label says it all. You drink this to look classy if you donít know a good imported lager from a cabbyís armpits.

Bottle. Pours a nice amber. Moderate carbonation. Good hop profile, for a pale lager. Not too much flavor, but not watery at all. One of my more favorite beers produced by large commercial brewers. Head was thin, but that is because of the way I pour it, trying to keep the carbonation in. Not a bad beer, as some others rate it.

I love it when I go to places where this is their one "premium" beer. And I actually liked this beer when I was 17 years old. Skunk in the aroma, skunk in the flavor, skunk in the aftertaste, skunk the next day. Iím being pretty harsh. If it werenít for the severe skunking of this beer, it may not be too bad. It does have decent hop profile and mouthfeel for a pale lager, just canít get past the skunkiness.

Never had a beer lose its flavor so fast. Leave it for a few days and its game over for Heine, keg can or not. Way overrated.

In my opinion, this is the best mass produced beer by far. A decent head and lacing, clean crisp color, slightly pungent aroma, and a clean, crisp, flavorful taste that makes this a great everyday beer. There is nothing better than a crisp, ice cold Heineken on a hot summer day.

Not that bad, but they keep buying up other breweries all over the world and homogenizing them until theyíre all the same.

Just a very avarage lager really, nothing special. There are better Dutch lagers out there.

Poured golden/yellow with a thick white head. The smell was grainy and grassy. The taste started sharp and clean with a slight metallic flavor. Light barley is prevelent throught. It finished smooth, not too bitter, more like oak. Tried this from the keg can, hence the metalic taste. Nothing special here, just another mass produced beer.
