Not an awful beer, but definetly not one a sophisticated drinker would have with a meal...better suited for parties...

Aroma is more often than not skunky. Straw color, very light and refreshing. Some citrusy notes linger around in the malty taste

Urine-yellow colour. No notable aroma. Crisp, watery mouthfeel. Some fruity malt notes, but no discernable hop character. Bleh.

Tastes different than I remember from years ago. This was the first "premium" beer that I had ever tried and I remember it being bland and slightly sweet. The one I just tasted has light lager aroma, some hop aroma and taste, very light malt, dry aftertaste. Mine was not skunked at all. A decent very light styled lager, light flavors and very light hops. Not bad at all, but not somthing that I will look for.

A light pale lager. Clean taste lacks an abundance of hops in the taste of the beer.

Pale straw color with thick carbonated, quickly diminishing head; little lacing. Aroma is hoppy and skunked. Flavor is decent with some hop bitterness; skunked. Mouthfeel is fuller than expected, but still watery, and has good but not overdone carbonation. Finish is fairly clean and has a goog hop bite. Overall better than expected, but far from exceptional.

Yellow, with a shortlived foamy head. Pleasant malt nose, clean taste, but too watery. Flat aftertaste with a nice hoppy finish.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2005 Overall I may be getting soft or somethin’, but I think this beer has improved?Nice clean bready yeasty aroma with enough hops to get the balnce going on.Mostly lively Co2,but this is crisp, clean, and whatever gets you through the night, right?I am rating the 24oz. bottle which might have a slight difference and yes it is fresh.I think I prefer this over Sam Adams BL bro.(imagine that).Either my taste in beer is very jaded or this beer has improved and slightly over-rated,but too expensive,Yes.I can deal with 2.41$ w/tax for a24oz. though for a late night jones.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2005 Popping the cap releases Heineken’s distinct skunk cloud every time. Tastes bland and watery at first, becoming more skunky tasting as the film builds. Smells like the floor of a country club. How actual malt and hops can be used to produce a beverage (and so many others) like this is beyond me. It’s perplexing to think of all the profit made from this product. Great marketing!
