1.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2008 Quite smelly. Very light color. Flavor is watery, yet too hoppy and with the wrong kind of hops. Not a good balance.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light golden color with a moderate fluffy head. Aroma hops just do not travel well. Aromas of stale paper. Flavors of pilsner malt with a sharp hops finish.

Slight hoppy aroma. Salty, but skunky taste with cabbage(!). This is the first time in about seven years I tasted Heineken pils. I think the next will also have to wait.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2013 This is one of the world’s most famous disasters.
Rerate 31/12/2013 Recently drunk about a liter of Heineken during a concert in Paradiso, Amsterdam. For what it is, it is actually pretty good. It has a pleasant flowery nose. It is simply not that bland (at least the stuff from the dutch factory). Guess this is my favourite dutch macro brew. Consider this stuff is made to sell at minimum prices to the most of people possible. Then there is actually quite some taste & even distinctive taste in it. At least more than other Dutch alternatives.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2008 Had it at the brewery in Amsterdam (fresh) and it was one of the best beer drinking days that I have ever had. It can get ’skunky’ in the US however.

Who knows what this beer may be like in a different color bottle. The Skunk Factor definitely defines this beer.

You know, i know guys that tell me that this is the best beer made! I look at them and sneer. It seems that almost every bottle I’ve had has that notorius Skunk smell going. For gods sake put on a silly freshness date.

This beer sucks donkey nuts. The aftertaste is horrible and it doesn’t go down smooth. Settle for a domestic like Michelob.

This is anaverage beer at the most, as for imports. To me it taste like a lighter more bitter version of becks/st pauli girl when its real bad it has a slight pond water taste to it. For the price u can do alot better , alot of people i know who dont drink alot think this stuff is the shit... shows u wahtkind of preppy beer this is.
