Not as good as some people make it out to be but not too bad either. Good beer to have after a long and hard day at work. Tastes kind of like bud but with a bit more flavor and hops. Doesn't smell to bad either.

It's stale and overrated. It tastes better from the can than from the bottle.

This beer always seems to be stale out of the bottle. Little flavor aside from an unpleasant bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2015 A beer l enjoy when fresh. I really think it is best in Europe, when served on draught. Very enjoyable at the Heineken Museum in Amsterdam. Some yeast, and quite bitter. Should be avoided in green bottle. Old rating below. Good from a keg can; can be great on tap. While nothing special, this beer is consistently good unless ruined due to the green bottle. Better than most American macros. 3/2/3/3/5

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2014 Drinkable and ok when nothing better is around. I find this neither remarkable nor offensive. Preferable to the BMC beers but far from the good beers of nearly any style.

Golden colour with a bubbly head. Bad aroma, while the flavour (like many other "commercial" lagers) is dominated by the bitterness of the hops. Drinkable, but nothing special.

Ivy League swill. Nice beer to have at a party to show the Bud and Molson Canadian drinkers you have taste but aren't you just drinking Holland's Bud? Skunky aroma but decent light lasting taste. Best part is the mini-keg cans. Props to the canners (I see others like Sleemans are doing this now).

a nice, no frills, a little expensive standard lager. i drank this a lot for a while. haven't had one in a long time. i'm thinking that i won't like it just cause i've heard about the keeping conditions of green glass. we'll see.

Never have been very impressed with this beer. Pours golden brown. Strong aroma of hoppiness. The taste is to be expected. Bitter and with a sort of sour finish. This isn't horrible, but I prefer Pilsner Urquell. Worth trying.
