Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener every time I’ve had it poured out. The appearance was a light clear yellow color with fast rising carbonation to try to fill a rapidly dissipating quarter fingered white foamy head. There wasn’t any lacing whatsoever. The smell was skunky with some cooked vegetal quality about it and a little bit of soy sauce. The taste was bland with the soy sauce. On the palate, this one sits fairly light and sessionable. Overall, well, its good for the Euro Pale Lager style but honestly I’ve never really cared for this one.

Bottle from Floyd’s Pub while watching the World Cup. Transparent yellow in color with minimal head. Aroma of malt. Taste of light sour and some malt. Very bland, but a good beer to drink while watching sports.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 Review: Can of Heineken pale lager, 5%ABV Heineken, a good solid beer, crisp and refreshing. The easy drinking lager is ideal drinking fare for sporting events or parties. An appearance that has a very clear pale golden colour. On pouring, you get a nice average sized head that leaves a good looking lager. Has steady lacing Smell is a distinct yeast aroma with grassy hops. A pleasant lager smell. The taste is a quite distinctive yeast flavor with a tiny hint of hops, crisp and smooth it goes down easy. The aftertaste is clean and refreshing.

Clear blonde, minimal head, foam retention rather low. Taste light sour and some malt aroma far in the back. Overall indiferent just to please everybody especially if it’s served cold in the summer

Can in plane. I used to live next to one of their breweries and haven't had one of their beers since. That smell still haunts me... Anyway, this is macro lager perfection: very light aroma and taste, absolutely nothing stands out in any way. Light bodied and average carbonation. It's hard to be offended by it, but nothing to enjoy either.

Can - got 6 of them for £4. Only problem is now I’m stuck with 5 cans of Heineken. Pours light golden with a thin white head which slowly fades away to a ring - a bit of weak lacing. Aroma of the usual lager malts, hints of hops and slight fruitiness. Taste of well..nothing really. There’s a hint of sweet malts and then a slightly bitter finish. Light body, medium carbonation. Well it’s not bad, but its not very good either.
