2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured a yellow-gold color with a thin head and lacing. Aroma was the highlight with a malt sniff and a slight fruitiness present. Taste was typical of a pale lager - malts followed by grains followed by a slightly off hop finish. It tasted slightly like PBR. Palate was decent for the category. Overall, it came in as expected. Probably will not revisit after my sixer is gone, since I can get PBR for less plus - both price and carbon footprint-wise.

Woda. Po prostu woda. Jakiś mokry karton w tle, który chyba miał symulować jakieś słody. Nic specjalnego. Już wolę polskie korpolagery.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Blind test of (mostly) swiss lagers. Golden color with some foam. Little bitter nose with tiny hint of diffuse fruitiness. Rather fresh taste and a calm finish with some fruity touches as well.

Very good beer, a bit better but still a very, very good taste. A bit on the pricey side but well worth the refreshing qualities.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A decent beer but one of the more expensive ones and over-rated. Fair carbonation and has a certain complexity to it’s taste compared to Carling or Amstel but overall bland.

Pours clear pale yellow with very visible carbonation. Small white head. Typical lager smell, slightly bitter on nose.
Thin body with regular carbonation. Bittersweet. Slightly oily texture. Aroma of malts, corn, a bit grassy. Short, metallic finish.

12-ounce bottles. Nasty smell, boring flavor with a little foulness, I don’t know why Heineken is so popular. Not the worst I’ve ever had, but that isn’t saying much.

Bottled. Clear pale golden, medium size white head, decent lacing. Aroma of grains and grass. Mid-sweet taste, very mild grassy bitterness. Not that much action going on.

from a can, but does it matter? I hadn´t drunk Heineken in a loooong time and now I know why. Very pale color, little aroma, less taste. A true triumph of marketing over taste and quality. When I was younger I accepted it as a "quality" beer because it is European, but now I know much, much better. I´m not being snobbish here, it just doesn´t rank well with other "Euro" beers that are mass marketed. Now, on to a better beer, which won´t take much of a search....
