1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 beikes (69) - Aarhus, - JUN 27, 2012Along with Carlsberg and Budweiser, this is one of the worlds most famous and sold pilsner/lagers. It’s the best out of the three, and the most clean tasting, reminiscent of northern german pilsener. I’d probably still go for Tuborg Green instead, but it’s a decent drink and a good thirsquencher on a summer day. Draught version preferable.
Fun note: When me and my friends started drinking beer at age 14 (yeah, that IS the norm in Denmark) or so, we all thought this was the greatest drink in the world, and thought it was all exotic. Turned out we were just ignorant

Cerveja mundialmente padronizada, a gente nunca erra quando pede uma, sempre saborosa para o estilo, amargor presente e agradável, leve e refescante, cerveja pra toda hora, daquelas que deveríamos lotar a geladeira para consumo diário.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Rob_D_UK (176) - - MAY 15, 2013
It is golden in color with moderate carbonation and a good, thick head. This beer has a hoppy aroma. Crisp taste.

It’s a really nice fresh beer for the summer. Maybe not the best quality for the real beer lovers, but I like it!

Discutible quality but dunno why one of my favourite commercial stuff. Tastes different.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Mr_Vogel (50) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2013
There it is, my nemesis. I grew up with this. Much attention put in the aesthetics of the beer; immaculate clarity, perfect golden and a snow-white head. Taste and aroma not so much. Some malts, some bitter. No hops definable. Export bottles have been the skunk-sensitive green bottles for years, but atleast in the Netherlands we were treated with brown bottles up untill a month or so ago. New green ’Star’ bottle is a skunk bottle as well. If properly chilled, it can be very refreshing and drinkable yet only if the bottle hasn’t gone bad. Avoid cans at all cost

From bottle. Pours clear with small head. Aroma is slight sweet, malt and typical pilsner. Taste follows.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Marc18 (28) - NORTHERN IRELAND - MAY 6, 2013
An excellent pale lager perfect for any occasion, with a crisp taste and a light aroma. Attractive pale appearance, nice bottle and easily poured with a white head. A fairly generic beer to some but among the best readily available european lagers in my opinion.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 neverleaveopen (63) - GERMANY - MAY 4, 2013
clear pale yellow with a tall fine head. Grassy aroma with some grain and citrus. Slightly sweet, fruity taste with subtle bitterness.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 GIJOE (127) - Monterey, California, USA - MAY 4, 2013
It's beer. What more is there to say? There's alcohol in it, although not much. It's sort of beer-like. Not gross.

Well, always drunk heineken cause i didnt knew better.... taste and aroma are ok with a kind bitterness. Although nothing special. Good beer for drinking at high speed :)The marketing of the brand is 1000 times better then the beer is.. Its probably the best known export product of my country (the netherlands) but still i would prefer Hertog jan as my favourite dutch beer :)
