bitbucket (1572), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 7, 2008 Green bottle served at Hector’s in Kirkland. I’ve drunk a bunch of greenies along the way, but never rated one before. Pours clear light gold with a frothy white head. Mostly grassy nose with flowers a little bread. I got lucky - this bottle hasn’t been light-struck. Medium-light body and carbonation. Lightly sweet bready taste. Sort of a stealth finish. This seems to be a one dimensional pale lager for the hops-averse. Not a bad substitute for water with a meal.
Taverner (485), San Ramon, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 As far as pale lagers go, this is one of the best. Not the greatest beer, but in its nose you can get notes of bananas and fruit. Much more going on here than in Bud or any other mass produced pale lager. Even the color is better than other PL’s. TheBeerMaster (100), Little Falls, New Jersey, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pale lager, thin head, a bit watery. Good for drinking at the club, or if you’re in the fuckin’ zone. kcmo19 (33), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pale, dry, watered-down, the typical boring cheap lager. I guess it’s ok for what it is. thefle (27), , New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2008 I used to be a big heineken drinker but no more. The main reason is I’m fairly sure that this beer is brewed with nyquil. I can never recall a time where I had a great night drinking heinekens, just getting tired after 2 and feeling generally bad. I suppose this isn’t a knock on the taste and what not but when you associate a beer with sleepy boring nights somethings up SQNfan (480), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pale in color with a thin head with aromas on the grassy/herbal/earthy/skunky side. The palate was dry and bitter. Fine at a baseball game.
