anthlovesbeer (61), north grafton, Massachusetts, USA Apr 12, 2008 Very lively, highly carbonated, bright and crisp. Very refreshing year-round! I disagree with the stigma this lager has faced over the years. There is no skunk here. Just pure Holland lager beer. Then again, it’s all in the uniquness of individual taste.
M0RHI (989), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Jul 26, 2008 Why have I never reviewed this beer? Boring and dull with a fusty malt nose. Mouth equally poor, with a thin mouthfeel and some bubbles. Mouth tastes dusty and some malts, with a little bit of hops, but not enough to be interesting. No real words of note. dcswirl (13), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2008 Highly overrated beer. Skunky flavor, with too much carbonation. Very low on my list for sure. Juancho (183), New York, New York, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottle, very pale lager .. was superlative in college... but now it’s just disappointing. Beer like flavor, yeasty, highly carbonated, highly filtered, devoid of any personality. LilBeerDoctor (313), East Setauket, New York, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a straw yellow, piss colored, with a white head. Aroma is not bad - light fruits and wheat. Flavor is just gross. Skunky, watery, pissy, grassy, stale wheat tasting. Pretty bad stuff. Heineken Light is better. kiefdog (326), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 18, 2008 22oz keg can from Publix Supermarket (Tampa, FL). Pours a clear golden with thin white head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is faint: wet straw, hay, some pepper, hints of barnyard. Flavor is much the same: some sweet malt, barnyard, wet hay. Watery mouthfeel and general quick uninteresting finish.
