2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2011 Bottle. Poured a pale to medium yellow with a small white fizzy head that was fully diminishing and had poor lacing. The aroma was that of light grain malts, a flowery hop and a horse blanket yeast. It tasted a little bitter at first and finished with a mild bitter hoppy flavor that was quite crisp. Mouthfeel was light in body and dry in texture with a lively carbonation. Overall a nice crisp refreshing brew, just right for the style.

One of many bright yellow, fizzy lagers. Heineken swears it is brewed with 100% barley, and I’ll take their word for it. But the flavor and aroma aren’t much different at all from any cheap, corn-based beer. It is a little sweeter tasting, so there is that. It’s slightly more viscous, too, in terms of mouthfeel. But the flavor is no more interesting, and the overall quality is no more enjoyable, than Budweiser.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear straw colour with a fine white head, mild and very light hoppiness sweet, light to medium body, totally neutral finish - nothing spectacular.. Just another session beer, but quite a nice one.
Just remember its in a green bottle, so best you buy a fresh box and don’t get one thats been under Fluro lights or exposed to UV light for days.. or it will be skunky

Gold color with one finger head. Grain smells, and very neutral. Grains with good hop bitterness tasted.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is Jess’s favorite beer. I decided to try it and liked it overall. It is not my favorite but had good flavor. It did not smell as good as it tasted. The green bottle makes it difficult to see the color of the beer until you pour it into a clear glass.

A simple and watery flavoured lager, kind of metalic and hoppy taste, but very subtle one.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Walworth Castle, Darlington. Yellow golden colour, foam white head and aroma of malt, grain. Taste is similar, sweet malty, grainy and alittle fruity. Light bodied, high carbonation, dryish finish with some residual sweetness. OK but bland pale lager.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Had this a thousand times but never rated before - 33ml bottle. Pours a clear average yellow color with a smallish white head. The smell is grain, mild sweetness and grass. The taste is similar to the nose ending a bit dry and crisp. No not a great bee but certainly palatable.

Never understood the popularity of it. Flavorful for a mass produced beer that you expect to be devoid of flavor anyways. But again just kind of unremarkable by those low standards

Always thought it smelled and tasted kind of skunky. Never understood its popularity.
