biggmike (413), Gulfport, Mississippi, USA Mar 17, 2008 Poured a slightly hazy golden/yellow color with a quickly dissipating white head that left minimal lacing. Aroma was kind of grainy maltiness. Flavor was cereal/bread/grain. Mouthfeel was a bit on the thin side with little carbonation. Drinkability is pretty high and would be welcome on a hot, sweltering day. Pretty decent beer and kudos to Heiner Brau for attempting the style.
jjpm74 (3160), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours off white/straw color with a nice white head. Smells pf perfume, some light fruity hints, a touch of honey. Tastes of dry malt, some sugary hints, fruity with an earthy finish. Enjoyable. pojo41 (307), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jun 7, 2008 Bottle. Poured a hazy, straw-gold color with a white head that disappeared quickly leaving minimal lacing.
Mostly neutral aroma with a hint of fruit.
Heavy bready, biscuity, yeasty flavor with a definite wheat bite. Slightly thin palate but, very drinkable. Good session/lawnmower beer. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 27, 2008 Very slight haze. Straw colour. Vague nose. Has a dry body. The malts are firm and breadcrusty. The continental hops are dry and clean. Spritzy, spicy finish. But for the barely-there aroma, this is nice kolsch. bleeng (308), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA May 17, 2008 12 oz bottle. Hazy gold with little head. Nose is bitter and a bit skunky. Taste is very tangy, sharp, and dry. Little hop profile and grainy. Very carbonated and little depth at the end. Weird-not as good the canned version. A good summer beer though and very unique for reasons both good and bad. Despite the mediocre score I like it.. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA May 17, 2008 (Savor, 12oz bottle) Small white head atop lightly hazed straw body. Aroma is medium sweet, straw, some grassy, light fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet, straw/grassy, light biscuit. Fairly watery light body.
