Dark rich brown body with mid tan head. Chocalte, nut and caramel aroma. The taste is much lighter than most stouts but has a light velvet texture. I live down the street from one of thier breweries and i get a grolwer (2L’s) for 7$ a great deal. look forward to making this my daily brew. shrubber85 (2592), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Jul 4, 2006 Tap. Molasses malt aroma. Dark black-brown color with small head. Smooth chocolate-coffee malt flavor - easy drinking with next to no bitterness. A fairly light stout but one I could drink all day - doesn’t sit heavy on you like some stouts. DragonStout (1185), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 3, 2007 Brewsgrass 07** Poured a cola color with a beige head. A nice coffee and caramel aroma. Mouthfeel was medium with coffee, malts, hops and slight chocolate flavors.This finished off with a bitter coffee finish. The Black Forest Stout pour dark, dark brown with a little off-white head. The aroma is not to strong, but it smells of barley. The tastes is chocolate and carmel with a smooth finish. The head is light tan. Aroma is malty and sweet roast. Decent stout, very fresh, no preservetives
