0,5 l botttle under the Held-Bräu flag. Thanks to kappldav123. More a dark golden in the glass. Big white head. Sweet malt and grain on the nose. Taste is also sweet malt, light spicy and grain. Very low bitterness. Easy and pleasant to drink.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2013 Bottle (as simply "Hell" with the plain Held-Braeu label, sold separately from the Holler Busch at Landbierparadies, so I’m kind of surprised to see this aliased). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, lemon), with a light note of soap. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, light to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit soapy and lacking in character. Fair balance. Very average.

(50 cl bottle) Pours a golden colour with a white head. Aroma of grassy hops, pale malts, hay. A hint of cardboard. Only light bitterness, light sweetness. Rather short finish. Well drinkable, though not exciting. I expect it tastes better on tap at (or near) the brewery.

Bottle by 15.11.12. Nose is dry, dusty, crackery, lots of straw and barnyard wood, just superb rural Landbier character. Clear, bright golden with plenty of carbonation but a short beige head. Taste is lightly sweet, bright and lively malt with really nice, adroit crackery and bready yeast tones. Just a hint of citrus. There’s some darker caramel as an accent, and faint bitterness buried under all of this. Smooth medium body and super full of character.

Draft. Pours golden orange with an off white head. Grainy and earthy with a nice dry and slightly hoppy finish. Nice.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, grasig, würzig. Geschmack angenehm würzig malzig mit minimaler Bitterkeit im Abgang.

Had this as Held Bräu Hell. Bottle looks very simple but good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, some grasy notes. Only mild dry background. Finish well balanced, malty-wheaty. Nice!

Pours a quite golden brew with white foam. Nice lightfooted beer with this typical bavarian Helles taste.

Test vom 30.8.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,9,9,7,3,9 - 8,40
