300ish ml can from Lawson. Amber with off-white head. Aromas of toast, light citrus, floral. Tastes of toasty notes, citrus, floral. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty decent.

Poured from a can in Tokyo. Hazy dark amber with off-white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee. Taste is caramel and toffee, mildly bitter sweet. Medium mouthfeel with good carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. Nice beer.

Caramel malt, plum, red fruits aroma. Sweet malt flavor, strawberry, floral hops, mild bitter finish. A pretty good surprise, but sweetness slowly overwhelms, which gets quite tiring on the palate.

Can from Seijo Ishii, Karasuma. Rich caramel malt nose, chocolate, earthy hops with some grass and a touch of citrus. Malty, yet earthy and dry. Medium amber color with a low, fine head. Rich malty flavor, good caramel with a bit of chocolate, but nicely balance by hops as well. A bit of orange and cherry complement the nutty and earthy character. Nice drinking beer, and much better than their old Christmas red. Good rich body as well.

350 ml can from Seijo Ishii @ Nagoya station. Pours with a huge head but it goes away quite fast. Looks like a slightly hazy freshly pressed apple juice, dark copper. Aroma is mango and pineapple, surprisingly fruity and flowery. Some notes of malty bread pressing through. Taste is quite round, maruyaka. First it feels just as the aroma - mouthful of sweet tropical fruits, very soft mouthfeel with pleasant flowery hops. However, this first sensation fades soon and taste turns sour and a bit buttery. Aftertaste is bitter but maybe not so dry. Wet bitter? Overall a pleasant experience, perhaps even one of my favourites from Helios.

5% about 300 yen from my local Lawson, their winter seasonal which has been sitting there for awhile. It pours a nice amber with a light beige head. A fruity aroma, possibly with hints of peach? The flavor is sweet with a mild malt taste, easy to drink but kind of average. Pretty good for a convenience store beer.

Can@Hotel. Sweetish, herbal and malty. Yet still refreshing. Not a very special beer but certainly interesting enough.

Canned (thanks Kim!). Deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some floral, mild toffee and quite grassy notes. Flavour is fruity, grassy, floral and mild caramelly notes. Nice balance and refreshing.

Much more going on here than I expected. Big, dense head, dark orange with lovely lacing. Soft nose of bready malt, a hint of berry and some light hops. Smooth, creamy body. A little estery, don’t know if this is brewed as a belgian red. Taste is light and reasonably subtle, toffee, creamy caramel, bread dough, finishing with some soft, though firm hops.
