lithy (2997) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2012

Dark red-brown, beige cover. Aroma is nutty, slightly citrusy hops, earthy, cocoa, caramel. Taste is the same, this seems hoppier than is traditional for an ESB but it is fantastic either way.

This poured a very light brown color with a beige head. Aroma was nutty, light herbal hops, and some dirt. Flavor seemed a little dirty, but well rounded of with light fruity hops and nutty malts. Decent bitter.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4035) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2012

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a very small creamy off white head. The aroma was woody and nutty with faint roasty coffee. The flavor was nutty and bitter with hints of wood, toffee, apple, roasty malts and hint of tobacco. The finish was medium length wood and nut. Light to medium body. Eh.
