COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional southern English style brown ale, combines European malts with American hops. The result is a rich, malty, full-bodied ale, with a subtle hint of fruitiness on the nose and palate.

Draft at Hunger and Thirst. Cloudy brown color, small head. Aroma of lightly nutty toast. Taste is similar.

The hint of fruit is at the beginning of this beer. The malt kicks in heavy after that, leaving a bitter almost coffee taste that though strong does not linger on your pallet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thought this was a very mediocre beer that didnít have too many interesting notes.

Draft at Grille 31 in Mt Pleasant. Brown with ruby mahogany tones. Aroma of roasted malt, cookie, biscuit, caramel. Light to med light sweetness. Softer carbonation. Taste is similar to aroma. Not too shabby. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance is a chocolate brown with about a finger of head that dissipated quickly. There is a malty and bready nose – exactly what I might expect in a standard brown ale. The flavor is hearty with a mild and slightly sour bitterness on the finish. The light roasted malt character is pleasant and makes for a solid, but not exceptional brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I don't like malty beers. Which means this isn't too malty. It's not light by any means, but it is surprisingly refreshing for a malty dark ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler or bottle shared at Jackie Oís (late 2011 or early 2012). Pours a clear brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have brown malts, mild roast, some nutty character, hints of fruit, with mild bitterness to the finish. Nothing seemed bad, just nothing that pops either.

Not too impressed. I loved their other brews so much, and I hate to say, this is the weak one so far. Itís not bad by any means. Itís just a little too normal - nutty flavor, typical brown maltiness... nothing special here, just a nice brown ale.
