Glouglouburp (1876), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 25, 2007 In short: Basic brewpub wheat lemony beer. Bof.
How: One of seven glasses shared with WeeHeavySD. NOTE: This is part of the first batch of beers they brewed. Drank within a week of the brewpub opening. Things may (and hopefully will) change a lot. I will re-sample in a little while.
The look: Cloudy yellow body with a long lasting small white head
In long: Not much to say here. Some wheat, a twist of lemon and some dry grassy hops. As it warmed-up it developed some white grapes/grapefruit juicy flavours. Refreshing. So is a lemonade. WeeHeavySD (1637), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 22, 2007 1st rating. Shared with Glouglouburp @ the Brew pub on its second night. Served with a slice of lemon we shed quickly but its effects lingered. Pours cloudy yellow with a bright white ring head. The lemon aroma lingered, very slight if any nose otherwise. Little bit of a Hoegardden ish taste. Lemony crackle in the taste and too agressive for me. Not a hoegarden at all, its a summery wheaty lemon thing.
