Dark amber, nice offwhite head. Clear maltiness in the aroma. Creamy with vanilla and toffee. Toffee in flavor as well, very malty with creamy notes. Some hope to give the beer a good balance. Pours dark brown with a thick white head. Sweet, sugary, somewhat raosted nose. Thick, sweet, slight smoky flavour with some notes of brown sugar in finish.

(Draught at MacKinlay’s, Stockholm, 17 Nov 2007) Dark brown colour with firm beige head. Malty nose with notes of dark rye bread and bread spices. Malty taste with dark rye bread, dried fruit, prunes, chocolate and hints of spicy hops in the finish. Not very bitter though. Medium body, nice balance. Nice beer, probably a bit better than a couple of years ago.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2005 Draught at MacKinley’s Inn, Stockholm. Dark amber, almost clear, small creamy head. Sourdough aroma, Dryish and medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Slightly roasty with only light grassy hop flavour. Medium bitterness.
