Draft at Die Frankisches Bierfest 09. Hazy pale gold. Nice yeasty aroma with hops to boot. Great meaty palate is one of my favorite features of this beer. Nice crisp hoppy flavors. Sweet malts back it up. Great graininess throughout. One of the best of the fest, would love to see more.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Almost clear, golden, solid fruity-grainy nose, a bit chalky-earthy - like many good franconian brews - with a solid herbal-hoppy base; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium bodied, low carbonation, malty base, soft MF; sweet malt and herbal-spicy hops in the creamy finish. (swing top bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Distinctively herbal and spicy, also slightly woody hoppy aroma with a cara-malty background and notes of anise and barnyard. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Cara-malt-character with rounded herbal and spicy hoppy notes leading into a moderately dry and hop bitter finish. It is a nice, solid helles through and through. It is unfiltered and delicious when fresh.

Hazy straw. Pleasant pale malt nose with a nice spicy malt accent. Rich herbal bitterness. Nice pale malt base. Very dry in the finish.
