,33l pour from refrigerated bottle into plastic cup in Kazakhstan. Clear, moderate head. Sweet, slightly bready nose. Slightly candy sweet. Thin, crisp body. Tastes like an orange rolled in malt. A little bit of a dry bitter finish. Easy drinking. A bit bland.

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts dry-malty, a bit metallically, more and more spicy. Light bitter background. Finish a bit boring malty. Still okay.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2015 Pours a clear amber liquid with a foamy white head. Aroma of grainy, fresh malt with a hint of some hops and citrus. Taste is watery with a flavour of mainly malt and a bitter hops finish. Smells and tastes very fresh. The body is rather full with a flat and oily texture. Not bad, but sadly it lacks some flavour and it seems like the bitter finish is supposed to cover that up.

0,33 l bottle. Clear and nice golden in the glass, short living head. Little bit grainy on the nose with citrus hints. Taste has a little bit more dry grain, low bitterness. Typical easy to drink old school Schankbier. Nothing more or less.

Flasche (33 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Orangegold, blank; schöne Schaumkrone. - Geruch sehr schwach hopfenwürzig, altes Stroh, schwache Apfelnote.

(Hemelinger Spezial Schankbier) Stubby bottle, 330 ml, at home. Served into an english pint glass, ABV 4.7% Deep golden yellow colour on the body. One finger of thin white head, average retention. Minimal lacing on the glass. Heavy malty aroma, old dried straw. Taste is slightly better and actually it tastes fresh. Again malts but not as heavy, hay, some fresh grass, with some fruity touches on the finish and a light bitterness on the aftertaste. Medium thin body, carbonation on the light side but with an initial bite. Overall okay, it doesn’t start well but it becomes better.
