COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The last news in the market. Its individual taste is given by the connection of a deeply fermented beer with pleasantly light bitter taste and extract obtained from hemp growing in mountain valleys in Switzerland.

Bottle. Clear golden colour. Malty aroma with herbal notes. Sweet malty taste with herbs, light hoppy bitterness in finish. Absolutely useless beer.

Shared 33 cl bottle. A gift from my parents inlaw purchased at Berlin green week. Aroma suggests this might actually be good, it is’nt. Weak body and some weird taste going on.

Noticed the pump and neatly arranged bottles as I supped a Litovel Pilsner in the Czech Republic area of Berlin’s 2014 Green Week. I popped over and bought a half litre of it to share with the wife. It’s awful. Herbal notes in the aroma and taste, like drinking mushed grass (ask a cow) with an apple core thrown in. It looked like your average lager/pilsner, golden and clean with a small white crown, your nose soon tells you something different is going on. Not for me, the wife didn’t like it much either, so I had the lions share: needless to say I’ll not be having another one.

Moebbels (316) - FINLAND - AUG 21, 2013
Clear pale body with large white head. Nose has a strong scent of fresh plants, resembling that of dried hop cones. Nose has also a citrus notes and hemp. The taste follows the nose, starting of mellowy and sweet, resembling the smell of dried hemp. Carbonation is medium and suits this good enough. Overall pretty interesting and surprisingly nice.

Don’t remember how I got the bottle, probably a gift. Strong smell of green apples, also some herbal aromas. Strong taste of dried herbs, overpowering and hard to get through. Harsh mouthfeel, very hard to drink. I couldn’t drink this. Absolutely horrible.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Praha, Tampere. BBE 10.05.2013.
Pours clear golden color with a minimal head. Aroma of herbs, mild pale malts, some dried fruits and some faint hemp. Flavour of fruits, tomatoe!, hay and malts. Mildly bitter, slick palate. Quite unique.

33cl bottle. Clear and golden with small or no head. Nose : becaise of almost no head, the aromas are low but mostly citrus, some strawberry, pineapple and apple. Very fruity. Little malt nose, some tart. Sip : decent carbonation, thin body and texture is watery. Sweet with dry, skunky favor. The flavors of fruits are dominated by citrus. The aftertaste is bubblegum and bitter hops. Overall it’s a refreshing beer with a very bad balance and too thin body. OK.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2012 0.33 bottle. Nice golden color, slightly darker than a casual lager, a big white head on top, though its retention is average. Taste is grassy, rather diluted and imprecise, somewhat sour. Aroma is strong and unlike any I have felt before. Sour and sweet at the same time, mostly hop but with a lot of spices and some maltiness on the side. A tad citrus, hay and green pepper as well as the unmistakeable cannabis fragrance. Body is light, texture thin but creamy at the same time. Carbonation to my surprise was soft. Finish is rich and slightly sweet, tastes of fruits, some vegetables and I think cannabis. If I was to ever eat hemp it would probably taste like that. All in all the beer is not great, nothing worth exhilaration but the fact that it’s made of hemp is exciting.

Erst mein zweites Hanfbier. Test vom 3.10.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,7,7,8,13,8 - 8,05
