It’s beautiful red amber with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of caramel, fruit, and a bit spruce. The sweet flavor has notes of burnt sugar, caramel, light licorice, fruit, nuts and the finish is slightly dry and bitter with clear hoppy notes. Not a very typical dunkel Bock.

Weicher, nussig malziger Beginn. Dann trockene Holznoten, spürbar hopfenbitter. Dunkel, etwas karamellig. Zum Ende sticht erneut die Hopfenbitterkeit hervor, die Malzigkeit ist vergleichsweise gering. 8/9/10/9/7/9

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de.BB 05/12. Pours cloudy ruby amber with a small white head. Sweet and nutty nose with a scent of oxidation. Flavor is cellar, dark fruit and caramel. A little over the top.. already.

Pours clear amber color with medium head. Aroma of grass, sweetish caramel malts, bread, nuts, some pine notes, and mild ripe fruits. Flavor of sweet caramel malts, toffee notes, bread, nutty notes and some wooden notes, a bit resin too.

Aroma is slightly sweet with lots of slightly roasted, bready malt, some coffee and hints of PRÖÖÖT. Flavour is metallic with some solvent‐like alcohol, bready malt and caramel. The alcoholic savors disturb here.

[ Trade by Nightfall ]. Clear medium to dark amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, nutty, caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120327]

Bottle (50 cl swing-top) from bierzwerg.de. Clear deep copper, medium off-white head. Earthy and nutty malt aroma with some roasted notes, spicy and herbal hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry to semi dry, medium bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of Ekstedt shared @ Ekstedts bock-tasting. Pours copper with a white head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is sweet with honey, prunes, raisins, alcohol, dark bread and hints of caramel. Taste is sweet and very metallic with bread, cloves, prunes and hints of cocoa-powder. Mouthfeel is slightly watery and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and metallic with bread and dried dark fruits.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Clear nut brown. Restrained hay-like hops and roasty bread in the nose. Surprisingly dry with solid bready malt and lots of spicy hops. Minerally, very quenchable bock with really bitter, resiny finish. I really need to go to Franconia in bockbierzeit!
