MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - OCT 31, 2011
(swing top bottle, purchased at the brewery) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Wheaty and overripe fruity aroma of banana and peaches, accompanied by mildly phenolic spices. Moderately sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a rather soft carbonation for a Hefeweizen. Fruit-accented and moderately wheaty taste with a tinge of cara-malt; moderately sweet and slightly vinous-fruity finish. Atypical but nevertheless aromatic and pleasant Weizen. 27.X.11

It’s unclear, dark golden with a creamy head, and the aroma has notes of yeast, banana and wheat. The sweet flavour has notes of banana, yeast, wheat, the finish is nice and spice, and it’s all in all a very well-balanced beer.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 21, 2011

1000 ml bottel in Germany as a gift from a friend. Pours a hazy golden with a neat, creamy head and a distinct yeast sediment. Nice, lightly sweet banana aroma. Medium-bodied with soft, wheaty notes, some yeast and sweet banana notes. Very soft and pleasant palate.
