Bottle from Sainsbury. Henneys Dry Cider. Dark yellow colour. Aroma of apple and a touch of vinegar. Flavour is of mildly sweet apples, wood. Slightly dry and sour finish. Ok cider.

Bottle from Waitrose, same bottle as left but it also reads ’Henneys’: Nice, fresh apple nose with hints of tartness. Very smooth in the mouth, lots of sweetness and light toffee flavours.

Got these straight from the source in northern England. Nice mix of apple flavours, decent colour. Some bitterness on the finish. Could be "drier", still seemed a little too sweet, but overall very good.

Bottle pours golden color with some carbonation. The aroma is apple and some barnyard. The flavor is tart apple and some sour notes - not bad. The palate is lively and cleansing. Overall, rather nice.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Pale gold with no head but plenty of effervescence. Pleasing fresh apple aroma with a hint of woodiness. Flavour was sweetish to begin with plenty of fruit and a short, tart finish. Ok.

[Bottle from ASDA] Aroma is light and appley, some musky aromas, slightly acidic. Lightly carbonated, almost still. Dry finish, tart, refreshing. nice.

Bottle. Golden cider with an active body. The aroma is quite light and slightly vinegary, and the flavour is quite acidic and quite dry. Overall a disappointing cider.

Last drink I tried the night before flying out of Inverness, to London, then onto Brussels. Must say it was nice cider with some good leftfield qualities. Poured into a pint glass, cool but not cold. Lemony yellow in body, clear, with very intermittent and fine carbonation. Softly wafting salty pear nose with a good lick of fresh apples and moist cheese. Dry, very soft on the tongue and creamy come the mid-palate and beyond. Touch of cheese, wood and wheat-like notes precede a firm presence of dry, spicy apples that are well rounded and take hold of the palate. Dries the mouth and throat out with more spicy fruit in the swallow. Not harsh, pleasantly balanced and well crafted, I would have been happy to down more of these on the night but suffered from only buying a single bottle. Very nice. (50cL, code L2025, some supermarket in Inverness?)

As the label says, this is "Superior Quality" Clean, bursting with fresh apples on the nose and also on the palate. Dry?...yes! but without the unpleasant, harsh tannins found in mass produced "dry" ciders (which bizarrely have sweeteners added to them!) This is surprisingly easy to drink and is so.o.o refreshing! Ends with a clean, fresh appley finish.
