albertane (247), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Jul 2, 2008 2006 Vintage. I generally don’t like bottled ciders. Moreover, I only infrequently order cider at the pub or beer festivals; when I do, I like the traditional cloudy, non-carbonated ones. This cider seems especially well-balanced, and looks and tastes more like a draught "real" cider than the normal bottled fizz. It’s only lightly fizzy on the tongue with fresh apple aromas. The flavour is mostly dry and tart but with a hint of apple-pie sweetness up front. Really quite nice.
scotty (728), Scotland Mar 30, 2008 Bottle from Morrisons, pale gold & hazy, nice appley aroma, with a touch of acidic sourness too, but not unpleasant. Fairly dry, and again that slight sour note, but again, it’s quite pleasant and adds to the experience. There’s a lot of flavour here without being overly complex, a damn fine cider, not one for quaffing tho! hughie (2150), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jan 14, 2008 Hazy gold. Sweet acidic aroma. Taste has sweetness, sourness and an astringent dryness. Best cider I’ve had from a bottle. Bar none. Fin (2164), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jan 6, 2008 Bottle from Morrison’s, Banbury, Oxon, had this 05-01-08 Poured hazy light amber in colour no head very still cider indeed. Very slight sourness on the nose and also deep stewed apples. Stunning depth of flavour a lovely maturity from this cider, has started to take on calvados characteristics, I loved this and would happily have drank this all night, well at least until I started wobbling and then fell over. Magic_dave6 (3642), London, Greater London, England Dec 31, 2007 Bottle from morrisons. Aroma is quite sweet apples, packed with apples infact, not much tartnbess but good cider apple character. Taste is similar im not sure if its ment to be this sweet but its very nice indeed.
