Clear amber, which seem appropriate. On the malty side with plenty of caramel, though not overly sweet.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bomber: This one pours a fairly clear amber color. There was a decent sized light beige head on it. It has a lighter nose. Some caramel malts, faint fruits and faint pine. The taste is good. A bit of a piney hop bite, with some caramel malts in the background. Decent enough.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours hazy golden brown with a big creamy beige head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, light body, soft carbo, light bitterness and sweetness leading to a bland indistinct finish.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Keg pour at powder keg beer and chili festival. Aroma is fairly nondeScript but with a faint rubbery smell(?)--not very good. Appearance is light brown pour with mild sparkle, tiny head with poor retention and minimal lacing. Taste is basically mild bitter without provoking any other flavor. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, mild to lively carbonation. Overall, not too much here and not much to recommend.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a deep amber color with good clarity and a finger of eggshell foam. Lots of stale malt, cardboard, sweet caramel and toasted grain on the palate with an underlying piney bitterness that cleans up the sweetness a bit on the finish but the overall flavors are oxidized and lackluster.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rcvd in trade.
The appearance has a dark rusty amber/red colored body with a one and a half fingered white foamy head that lasts for a good minute before gently dieing into the body, some light speckled lacing sticks nicely to the sides of the glass.
The smell has some earthy caramel malts and light bitter hops that round out a nice sweet aroma with some toffee coming through.
The taste has mainly a sweetness running through the caramel malts. There is some toffee that comes through with a light nuttiness to it with a light caramel/nutty aftertaste and a dry sweet finish.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium in the body with a decent enough sessionable aspect to it that could assist in going with its respected food. Carbonation is somewhat smooth but still there’s a decent harshness to subside the palate a bit longer as there’s the element of a slight creaminess rolling over the mouth and tongue.
Overall, I would say this is a nice American Amber/Red Ale well worthy of coming back to and well worthy of having it with its respected food.

LIked this...thought it could have also been described at an Oktoberfest-style, but a bit hoppier...

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear amber color with a thick off white head. The head quickly dissipates. Aroma is of malts, caramel, subtle sweetness, dark fruit, and metal. Light bodied. Flavor is of malts, hops, some roastiness, and molasses. Leaves a slightly sweet malt finish.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22oz bottle from Top Shelf Beers. Pours a dark amber. Mostly sweet caramel malt flavors closer to a brown ale in my opinion. Nothing spectacular here but easy to drink and not bad.
