COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Slinger gets its golden copper color from the light caramel malts, which provide a solid backbone to support all the great hops. This beer presents with an overwhelming citrus aroma that leads into an unmistakable flavor of grapefruit. Hop Slinger leaves you with a nice dry bitterness that pairs well with spicey curries, salty fried foods and ginger based deserts.

22 oz bottle. Pours a deep gold color with a one finger off white head. Spotty lace. Typical IPA aroma. Grapefruit and pine resin. Light malty backbone. Grapefruit and resin make the taste to the bitter side. Moderate body with a bitter finish. 2nd beer from these new guys, so far so good.

Great color. Sweet hoppy nose. Something is off with this beer, for me. Somewhere in the middle a get a chemically taste. I can’t explain it. I’ve never tasted it before. I’m left pondering why 65 ibu’s has such a harsh finish...

The IPA is a staple for every American brewery. These guys nailed it! Great flavor to this IPA can’t get enough of it. What really sets it apart from other IPAs is it’s nose. Just smelling it makes it worth the buy.

Pours a deep golden color with a huge tan head that shows great retention and lace. The aroma is really nice, lots of citrus, pine, and resin with a distant but present bread and caramel malt backbone. The flavor is resinous and pine in spades with a hint of astringency. Light bready caramel comes in to try to provide some balance. Moderate hop bitterness with a subtle chalky note. Medium to thin body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Decent IPA, smells really good, tastes ok, could use a bit more body and less astringency, but quaffable just the same.

Normally not really a fan of IPAs but this one was pretty solid. Tasted slightly above average for this style.

First pour from Henniker Brewing after a tour a couple weeks ago. Pours a golden amber. Has nice notes of citrus and pine. Smells of simecoe. A bit thin in the mouth, but a very drinkable IPA all the way around.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. It pours a golden copper color with a tremendous, foamy and long-lasting head. Excellent clarity. Lots of piney hop aromas on the nose with a slight nod toward bready malts keeping a lower profile but still mingling in. The body is medium. The flavor has this millisecond of bready pale malts followed by an eruption of hop bitterness the lingers on at the end. A nice introduction to this new nano brewery.

Poured from a 22 into a mini snifter. Smells of caramel and a bit of resiny hops. Taste pretty much follows with a nice bitter finish.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2013 This is the first day that brews became available from the new home town brewery and this one has exceeded my expectations. It looks good in the glass and has a very sweet citrus and floral aroma. The hop flavors of pine and citrus are strong but not overpowering. If you’re a hophead then you’ll thoroughly enjoy this beer.
