This is not good. I really don't want to elaborate and therefore I won't continue to describe the badness of this beer and how it tastes like the bottom of a four O.

Blah. A bit of that nice German flavor, but not much. Goes down fairly easy.

6/16/03 Draft. Clear, light golden pilsner with foamy white head - moderately diminishing, leaving nice lacing on glass. Aroma of honey, malts, orange and light yeast. Flavor complex, sweet malts, bitter, spicy hops and a pine finish. Smooth, light body with mild carbonation.

Stronge aroma, medium-bodied with a long lasting head and good lacing. Flavour was less than spectacular, lacking in hop bite.

Light golden color with a thick creamy white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. Flavor is mildly hoppy and malty. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. The finish is lemony and bitter. I loved the thick white head. You really don't see beers like this with such a big head. Overall the beer was better than I expected but rather bland.

IslandHaole (1060) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, JAPAN - FEB 25, 2003
A rather plain pilsener. Some hops in the nose, slight bitter finish. Bland, average at best. Not worth seeking out.

Pretty dark color for style, good head. Starts malty. Continues sharply chemical bitter. Bitter finish and aftertaste. Not even a good "male" pils.

Unusual aroma, weak appearance. Thin pilsner taste, but better than other mainstream pilsners.

This is strange I had this beer way back in 1995 and Brick Brewery from Waterloo Ontario Canada was making the same beer under the same name.... I search Brick and there is no ref. to it. From my old notes this is what I rate it, When Brick was making it. And from memory I said that is tastes ’intersting’
