Angeloregon (1694), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 24, 2007 Poured a clear straw-golden hue with a small white head. Nose of stale malts, wheat, and berries. When Henry’s was legit, this was a super value. jake65 (1197), Meridian, Idaho, USA Mar 27, 2006 The blackberry flavor is separated from the rest of the flavors. It seemed as if they were competing against each other. I liked the idea of a blackberry for a fruit beer, but this didn’t work for HW. Nice try though... oldrtybastrd (1512), Morlautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany Dec 28, 2005 Pours a hazy golden yellow color. Aromas of wheat bread and berries. Flavor is sweet berry and a little yeasty. Flavor is to sweet for me, didn’t care for this at all. BrewDad (1600), Olympia, Washington, USA Sep 17, 2005 Awesome try at making a truely Northwest beer. Blackberries which is a weed here are perfect. But they just did not have any flavor to this beer. They missed the berry flavor andftoo much malt. But I love the attempt Garbbled (22), Oregon, USA Sep 9, 2004 Smells like a good fruit beer, but the berry taste seems artificial. It always tempts me if I haven’t had one in a long time, but tasting it reminds me why I haven’t had it in a long time. The appearance is average.
