Bottled, Pasteurised. Sweet sickly boiled sweet flavours on a sticky pudding malt background. Not particularly pleasant. Yuk

I’m glad they didn’t ruin this one with overly sweet fruit. It is borderline though. Very apparent fruit flavor and aroma. Would go great with the right foods.

Awesome try at making a truely Northwest beer. Blackberries which is a weed here are perfect. But they just did not have any flavor to this beer. They missed the berry flavor andftoo much malt. But I love the attempt

First had this beer in Portland OR long ago. Today it seems lighter than I first remembered. Drinkable but a little too fake-favor at times.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color. Aromas of wheat bread and berries. Flavor is sweet berry and a little yeasty. Flavor is to sweet for me, didn’t care for this at all.

Clear light golden; frothy head with tightly packed bubbles. Huge fruity aroma. Blackberry (obviously), as well as some raspberry flavors. Slight bitterness helps to round out the sweetness. Not bad, but a little too fruity for my liking.

Quite fruity, with a rather powerful aroma. The fruitiness overshadows the wheatness of the beer. While a beer or two of it will pique your taste buds, after that the taste dulls.

very strong berry flavor in this beer, but fairly easy to drink. Although, i could only have one at a sitting. Weinhards is a very good company in the pacific northwest for how inexpensive their beers tend to be, somewhat like Leinenkugels in the midwest, only a little better
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 willblake (2601) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JAN 8, 2004
Nice pour, light brown, huge head, aroma not so sweet with blackberry tartness. Same tartness carries into the flavor, but then it gets confectionars sugary sweet. The finish is inconsistently bitter/tart to metallic depending on temerature as the beer warms to room tempquickly in a tiny flute. This is a true headache beer if consumed in a session.

The blackberry flavor is separated from the rest of the flavors. It seemed as if they were competing against each other. I liked the idea of a blackberry for a fruit beer, but this didn’t work for HW. Nice try though...
