Ever since Wasatch brewery in Park City, Utah stopped making raspberry wheat I have been left with an empty place in my beer drinking diet. Thank goodness that I have found this beer to supplement my beer diet. My preference for beer is Pilsner but for variety I also enjoy fruit beers.

Color is a brown lightly hinted with red tones and has a white head about two fingers high that retained well with some huge divets and nice level web-like lacing. Smells of blackberries, I guess, I don't smell those every day, so I'll just say blackberries. It has a sweet malt backing as well thats faintly behind the blackberry. Taste is well...blackberry, nothing overwhelming though, its blended in nicely with a reasonably sweet malt thats all very smooth and quite good. This is how a flavored fruit beer should taste. The balance between the malt and blackberry is dead on. Feel is medium bodied with a nice fruit tang and bitterness thats very easy to handle. Out of the Weinhard's family of beers, this is the one I don't see all that much but always grab when I do, over any of the others.

If you want a sweet beer, this one is definately sweet. It was a nice one to drink on a hot summer day. The blackberry taste gave it something new that I hadn’t tasted in beers before.

Body is brown with red tones and has a white small head. Smells of blackberries of course, and some malts. It has a sweet malt taste mixed with blackberry and a little wheat. Nice balance with this fruit beer. Not too much blackberry.

One hell of a fruit beer! Very fruty and refreshing aroma, alot of blackberry. High in carbonate and sparkling, fullbodied mouth feel with a mix of malt and blackberry. Not a long lasting head though! Love this beer.

A decent beer. A little too fruity for my tastes. I think the blackberry aroma and flavor were overpowering. A little tart too if I remember correctly. Not a bad beer for a fruit beer.

wonderful berry aroma, however the berry flavors are just a bit too overwhelming....not a balanced beer, but pretty good nonetheless..i tried this after a lambic, so i’m sure it heightened the sweet intensity of the beer.
