This is traditional Weinhards: plain, boring, and rather cheap. Really not bad for an american lager, and not the worst Weinhards (if you want a beer that will not only make you cringe but will give you a sugar high as well try the blackberry wheat). Straight up ordinary.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Med gold color, medium head. A medium bodied lager. Mild malts and hops, yet very flavorful. Very smooth taste. Very refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet, nearly neutral. Nice beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very clean...attractive clear appearance with moderate white head. Aroma is on the hoppy side, but light. Malt presence is almost undetectble but hops come through sharply yet are not overpowering...still, not much balance here. This is, all in all, a refreshing drink one can enjoy on a hot day or as a prelude to heartier faire.

Not too much going on here. It has a remarkable lack of flavor. It’s not bad, especially for the price, but there are much better beers out there.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2005 This stuff is good and here’s why. Tastes pretty good, easy to drink. BUT- it is very inexpensive in the stores. I can name a billion better beers, but dollar for dollar this beer comes through. In comparison with other Weinhards beers, I would say it is about as good as the Blackberry Wheat or the Pale Ale.
ReRate: What is the point of this beer? It’s a half-assed wheat ale of some sort, with a low quality metallic taste to boot.

Hmm... Interesting brew. Tastes just about like any other blonde but not as fruity. I liked it and would do it again.

Fairly average in all regards. Nothing special here but certainly not bad either. I suppose it would be fairly easy to down quite a few of these on a hot day.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Something new I found at the grocery store just yesterday, I picked up a 6pack out of curiousity. Unfortunately I’m perhaps the last person that should be writing a first review of this, owing to the fact that I’ve never had a single blonde lager before, so I have no idea how this Henry compares with others like it. But let me try...Unlike Henry’s Dark, which is watery and tasteless, this Henry’s is rather good. Moderately strong taste, and a kinda strong scent out of the bottle. Makes a decent little white head, and looks a lot like an amber ale. Nothing astonishingly good or bad about the taste, it’s drinkable but nothing to go ape over. All in all, like most Henry’s beers, it’s pretty decent stuff (especially for the price) but nothing that will rock your world.
