3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Med gold color, medium head. A medium bodied lager. Mild malts and hops, yet very flavorful. Very smooth taste. Very refreshing. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet, nearly neutral. Nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Something new I found at the grocery store just yesterday, I picked up a 6pack out of curiousity. Unfortunately I’m perhaps the last person that should be writing a first review of this, owing to the fact that I’ve never had a single blonde lager before, so I have no idea how this Henry compares with others like it. But let me try...Unlike Henry’s Dark, which is watery and tasteless, this Henry’s is rather good. Moderately strong taste, and a kinda strong scent out of the bottle. Makes a decent little white head, and looks a lot like an amber ale. Nothing astonishingly good or bad about the taste, it’s drinkable but nothing to go ape over. All in all, like most Henry’s beers, it’s pretty decent stuff (especially for the price) but nothing that will rock your world.

Bottle courtesy of RiversideAK. Pours gold with a generous white head. Smells fruity, malty, earthy, citrussy with hints of biscuits. Tastes of toasted malt, oranges, lemons, some wheat, perfume. Full bodied and enjoyable.

Hmm... Interesting brew. Tastes just about like any other blonde but not as fruity. I liked it and would do it again.

Excellent malty flavor and aroma of fresh cut grass. Great for having around the house for your "non-beer" friends.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A - The appearance had a very medium amber appearance. As with most blonde ales it was quite alive with carbonation.
S- The smell was nutty and a bit roasty.
T- The taste was a pleasant one. It was more hoppy than the cream ales, but had light hoppyness and great malt flovor.
M- The body of this lager was great. The light hoppyness to this beer gave it a pleasant aftertaste if none at all.
D- I gave this a 3.5 drinkablitiy because it is an average beer. Nothing to write to mom about but really a great lager. I would have another.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 The remaining Henry’s beer that I had yet to try and what better a time to taste a blonde lager than after some very hot and sweaty yard work ( yes we had a rain free day in Salem, Oregon, wonders never cease!)
The beer poured very nice leaving a monsterous white fluffy head that even overwhelmed my glass for a second..it did shrink rapidlly but still lingered. The beer itself is a honey golden colour very attractive indeed.
The aroma however is rather non-descript and average for style..there is some faint smell of lemon grass and some faint malts
After having read the other reviews and had been expecting a pretty sub par beer..the taste was actually quite pleasant certainlly better than RedHook and Goose Island blondes I have tasted,,its actually quite creamy in consistency compared to most lagers and it does have some nice fresh hop bite at the end..nice.
The mouthful though again is average not unpleasant.
Very drinkable Blonde lager indeed..nice beer for the price.

Golden colored pour with medium sized head. Malty, flowery aroma with a nice crisp malty finish. Pretty good.
