PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 31, 2004 A notch above malt liquor, has that old timey, cheap, street walking taste to it that Ballantine has. Not offensive, just headache wrenching. Skunky, green bottle nose, pillowy white head sitting on tip of a light golden pour. Sweet, alcohol taste with some overripe fruit notes coming though. Good companion for a lonely night if you do not need to wake up early the next morning. Not gut wrencing by any means, just slightly similar to smoking a Swisher Sweet - you get what you pay for. AleDrinker (1090), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jul 17, 2004 This is the probably the blandest pale ale I’ve ever tried. I guess you get what you pay for. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA Jul 12, 2004 Henry’s brews are not bad, considering that you can often find them on sale priced near the Old Milwaukee’s price range. So if you are going somewhere like fishing and need a lot of beer for a little bit of money, you can buy Henry’s and not wake up the next day with a sour stomach and a pounding head. Alcoholist (570), Peoria, Illinois, USA Jun 9, 2004 Slightly better than the private reserve due to a bit more hoppiness. But essentially boring. slimweebs (139), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jun 6, 2004 Thin and watery, but has more flavor than most macrobrews. A step up from PBR. britzy02 (2), Washington, USA does not count May 22, 2004 Pleasant, but nothing special about it, might as well get 12 stones for the same effect. brewshthereen (316), Oregon, USA May 19, 2004 Unimpressive. Poor washed out color. Faint hop aroma. Has a liquid dish soap taste to it. Weak flavor. Not very memorable. twilightsensei (3), anon, Utah, USA does not count May 10, 2004 It goes down smooth without any aftertaste. I put a lime wedge in mine. It is weak. I think the alcohol content is 4.61%. It is one of the cheapest beers at the liquor store here in the people’s republic of utah. Would I get it again...not likely or only if I was desperate and on a budget.
