COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light-bodied, aromatic, Irish-style specialty ale. Double-hopped with PAcific Northwest Cascade hops for the flavor and smoothness of a traditional ale without bitterness of heaviness.

I Really like this ale, it has a clean and fresh taste, its not too strong on the finishing side either, I’ll keep quite a few of these in the fridge...

This is by far the best macro beer available.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2005 A good brew, especially when price is factored in. Drink this and people may think you’re high class while in college. Nothing really special here, but it’s solid.

A great beer form Henry Weinhards

Very disapointing. Henry Weinhards Private Reserve is very good, but the pale ale is horrid.

maxhits (172) - Pico Rivera, California, USA - MAR 25, 2002
Pours with a slightly hazy gold color and produces a thick head of foam that is fairly long-lived. Flavor is fairly straight-forward with a good malt body and a small amount of sweetness.

Better than reg Henrys and good with food but must be ice cold

More akin to an American standard, Blue Boar is pale gold and exudes a slightly sweet aroma. This beer definitely reminds us that Henry’s is a macro brewer--as it is bland tasting and lacking character, though smooth.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2003 Another marginal beer from Weinhards.

good all-around rating on this one, from it’s nice labeling to it’s smooth finish, and not as price gouging as others in this class
