Noobling87 (17), Oregon, USA Mar 31, 2008 When first starting with beer, this became my favorite. Now, I cannot stomache it. The term ’skunky’ I’ve seen surely fits the smell. It makes you want to turn your head. Not much flavor here, but the extra carbonation hides that a bit. It’s a little hoppy, with the taste of corn. Not one I’d ever buy again. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Mar 23, 2008 12 oz bottle via Roth’s. Pours a clear amber with an average head. Nose is grainy and floral. Taste is grains, corn, and a little herbal hoppiness. Body is light. Carbonation very high which helps cover up the blandness. Sam10 (36), Olympia, Washington, USA Feb 24, 2008 Skunk beer taste like corn. poor flavored beer. Couldn’t even finish this beer. brianprentiss (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 9, 2008 drinkable but nothing special. good session beer but definitely has a cheap taste. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Jan 24, 2008 One of the few H.W. brews I have enjoyed. O.K. for a barbeque. Micro & macro drinkers can both drink it...but neither will love it. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA Jan 18, 2008 Bottle: Golden colored pour with medium sized head. Hoppy, veggie aroma with a little skunkiness. Malty, hoppy, crisp, little sweet finish. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 16, 2008 On tap at Tom’s in St Johns, PDX--Poured a crisp light copper-straw body with a slim wispy white head. Decent carbonation; best served cold. Mildly creamy with a modest biting hops presence. Thin and built for heavy sessioning. Thanks, Full Sail Brewing Co. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 4, 2008 Green bottle. Pours pale amber with a fluffy white head that produces a bit of lace. Just a lightly skunky aroma, so it must be a fresh bottle - not too long under the fluorescents. Why does Full Sail feel compelled to use a green bottle for this beer? The rest of the Henry’s line is in brown bottles, along with everything else from Full Sail. So why are they determined to make this beer smell like ass? Is it a passive-aggressive thing because they do not want to brew this beer? Is a a marketing thing, designed by somebody who doesn’t actually drink beer? Guys: Reduce your bottle SKUs. Lose the greenies. OK, back to the task at hand. I can pull some light bready notes out of the aroma, but the skunk foils everything else. Light body and carbonation. A bit of bread in the taste. Crisp and lightly bitter finish. Manages to taste like a watered down Pils, so basically, and APA for folks who really want to be holding a Bud Lite.
