This has a pretty good roasty creamy aroma. Flavor is better than the rest of the H.W. beers as well. Some roast, nuttiness, malt and cream. Actually a pretty good beer.

12 oz. bottle - Deep amber to black, pours nicely, flavor is of roasted malt, pretty tasty. This beer is drinkable but a little on the light side flavorwise.

Odd beer. It looked good, poured with a very dark amber colour, and came with a nice ivory head; decent lacing with this one. Aroma was difficult to discern; there was an aroma but I could not suss out what it was. Not unpleasant, just ’there’. Taste and mouthfeel were acceptable but not remarkable. Just a so-so beer, but at least drinkable at a proper price.

Pours out a shiny dark cola color with a thin white head. Very overly carbonated. Mostly malt and water in the flavor, very light hop presence. Not bad for what it is.

12oz bottle 3/4/09 (Tukwila Trading Co.)-Pours a dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, and coffee. Taste of the same. This medium to full bodied brew is nice tasting but a bit light. Very drinkable.

Bottle: con el aleman; realmente mi tipo son las que la malta predomina y luego entra el kick de hops - a lo ingles At Coatepeque, Casta liked it, brown ale- like, almost porter to stout. profile. Surprisingly good!

2008 Bottle - Pours dk brown with a small off white head...aroma is slight skunk that accompanies all HW bottles, along with sour grain and faint malt...flavour follows, with some toasty notes, light and thin on the end with a malty mouthfeel and taste that lingers, not bad for the money...
